Yoga for Mums - Bring Baby

This gentle postnatal yoga class is designed especially for mums — to rebuild strength, ease aches and pains, and reconnect with your body after birth.

Each session includes mindful movement, breathing techniques, and relaxation to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Babies are warmly welcome in this relaxed and nurturing space. You’re completely free to dip in and out of the session to feed, cuddle, or attend to your baby’s needs — no pressure, no expectations.

Classes are suitable from around 6 weeks post-birth (after a straightforward delivery) or 12 weeks (after a c-section or medical intervention), up to around 1 year (or whenever the class still works for you and your little one).

What to Expect at Yoga for Mums

Each class is a 90 minute session held A Space To Breathe Yoga Studio, Church Drive, Arnold, Nottingham.

Who it’s for: New mums, 6+ weeks post birth (12+ weeks post c-section), up to around 1 year (or whenever the class still works for you and your little one)

What to bring: Yoga mats and props are provided - but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. It's nice to bring a blanket for your baby to lie on.

Some toys will be provided that babies are welcome to explore or play with. Then just bring all the usual baby stuff you need when you leave the house!

The class is super relaxed, don't worry if you're late, or need to dip in and out...just come, relax and have some fun!

Benefits of Post-Natal Yoga

Postnatal yoga is a gentle, supportive way for new mums to ease back into movement after having a baby. It helps the body recover by strengthening the core and pelvic floor, improving posture, and relieving common aches and pains—especially in the back, shoulders, and neck. But it’s not just about the physical side; postnatal yoga is also great for relaxing, reducing stress, and finding a bit of calm in the chaos of new motherhood. The breathing and mindfulness can really help with anxiety, and if you’re doing a mum-and-baby class, it’s a lovely way to bond with your little one too.
